Kauaiʻs reefs need your help.

Since 1990 Malama Kai Foundation has spearheaded a Statewide Day-Use Mooring Buoy system to enable boaters to tie up at popular snorkel and dive sites, without throwing anchor and risking damage to the reefs.

Kauai Island has 9 Day-Use Mooring Buoys which are in need of regular maintenance and repairs.

Your donation will go directly to our Kauai program and enable us to purchase the necessary materials to continue this coral reef conservation program.

We currently need funding to help us:

• repair our hydraulic engine for running the underwater tools

• purchase mooring tackle such as line, shackles, thimbles and chain

Our fundraising goal is $15,000 for 2020.

We know this is a strange time, but we hope you consider it one of the best times to be generous in an effort to help safeguard Kauaiʻs reefs for decades to come.
